I let the males hatch out the eggs in main 135g tank and then have been busy catching fry and housing in same tank in a net. The 3 pair laid 98 eggs total on the glass and never left them until they hatched except short feeding spurts. I have Java moss in with the fry and am feeding infusoria and powdered Tetra veggie wafers. So far so good. I am still hunting fry and will continue to isolate them until they are eating well. This is the third time they have spawned. The first time I removed the eggs on day 2 and lost most to fungus. I only managed to raise 4 from 38 eggs. The second time I left them in with parents and my L046 zebras are in this tank as well. I saw the fry for about 2 weeks and then started finding dead ones. None survived from that clutch. They have spawned about every 6-7 weeks. My water is ph 6.5 and no readable hardness. I do 50% water changes 1x week. Temp 28 c. 82f." |
