2 | Yroc (k: 20) since 2008-08-23 to 2017-08-03, that's 8 years, 11 months; who writes, "2014-04-10: All well in my tank. Lately one older exemplar died, but the group is still round 20 exemplars. Older ones (7 year) en the younger ones near 1,5 years old.
No eggs lately.
2013-04-09: Last oktober and december 2012 I took some eggs of the Aspidoras taurus after they deposited them on leaves, into a breeding tank. Only one from the first deposit, by succesfully 9 from the last deposit, grew up. They are all 10 still in my small tank (60 cm large), but will go to the big tank (150 cm large) soon!
2012-03-08: In my 150X61x64 cm tank I have 3 Corydoras aeneus, 9 Corydoras sterbai and 1 Corydoras paleatus. Since februari 2011 also my group Aspidoras taurus, that moved from the Rekord 70 (60x30x40).
One of the Corydoras aeneus is the female young of my Corydoras aeneus man, that a couple of years ago died in my tank, 17 years of age. She is a very big exemplar, at least as big as my female C. sterbais, en wider. In june she will be 6 years of age.
My C. sterbai group was expanded to 9 exemplars. In the group swims one own bred exemplar, and also 3 females that I bought in 2005, when they were about 4 - 6 month old. So they are about 7 years of age.
Breeding is something I can forget, because I have rather big cichlids in my tank, earlier angelfish and now three large male Cryptoheros sajica. Also various Botias, so now the eggs are gone at the moment you see the females stick them to the glass or leafs." |

14 | Juan Felipe Z. since 2011-02-27 to 2014-02-21, that's 2 years, 11 months; who writes, "It is a very curious specie, of wich the juvenile form is quite different to the form adult.
The juveniles resemble the Aspidoras sp. C037, which also often confused is with Aspidoras sp. 'Goias'; name given to several native Aspidoras the Rio Araguaia (state of Goias, Brazil). The adult resembles one Aspidoras fuscoguttatus, including its color, identical.
Are of medium maintenance, most reject foods industrialized and tablets for bottom fish, preferring more the worms, living foods and freeze-dried foods.
Being a fish background, if give better in tanks with good movement and oxygenation, occasionally the enough to jump to the inside of the external filter through the cascade created. For this reason I recommend a tank tightly covered, callichtyideos in general are active leapers." |
