I just don't think it's possible to say what this Ancistrus is unless you know where it came from in the wild and even then it is not certain that we can ID it
yes you are right in this point, i will not call them ancistrus until we make sure what loricarid they are.

Well today i was viewing my Ancistrus sp. and I notice a kind of ver smal "hairs" (about 1 mm or 2 mm ) in all the contour of its head, maybe this will help with the id of this ancistrus
