Hey all, i have 17 syno lucipinnis in my 75 gallon tank, i keep the water very clean with 2 110 filters going full blast and do regular water changes, 80-82 degrees, have also confirmed my ph levels average 8 to 8.2 and everything else seems to be in line as well.

Sorry Mods on not putting this in the right area, also had one more question, what exactly does a catfish DO, I mean all they "seem" to do is scan the bottom like crazy, are they doing something or just busybodies?

Will having more in a tank help keep it clean or is that a myth?

Had a quick question about breeding, I have what I thought was Synodontis Petricola but were identified as Synodontis Lucipinnis thanks to the help in these forums :)

Looks like I have some reading to do thanks for the reply here, I do have many tanks currently going so could easily set them up exclusively in an 29 gallon with lots of caves and rocks for them.


I would love to see these breed, of the 3 I hope 1 is female but I will read up more on that here too ...

Thanks for helping me id these guys, what is the best way to breed these fish? Most of my other fish just spit babies constantly, too many in fact hehe but these guys I really like and haven't had a single baby from them yet that I have seen at least.
