It might well be the Ancistrus that silurus reffered to, however, it was NOT an albino. I can't recall how the eyes were colored, but i can remember that they were distinctky blue. I am sorry, but i don't have any pictures to post.

Blue eyed Ancistrus

I have a question about a blue eyed ANCISTRUS (not a "blue eyed pleco").

I saw it at a friends house, and since i have never seen an Ancistrus with blu eyes before i became a bit interested. Does anyone know what it may be? I am a 100% possitive that it is some sort of ancistrus.

It is probably a vittata, and the animals are not fully grown, otherwise i would not have that many in such a small aquarium.

Over stocking?

Hi

Im just wondering if you think 4 peckoltias will work in a 60 liter tank ... (no idea what it is in gallons). The two that i have now are doing just fine together, although i should probably add alot more driftwood and caves to the tank if i nget two more.

Thx

Shrimp mix

Come to think of it ... I have never heard anyone in this forum even mention shrimp mix as a good food source for catfishes. But maybe it is not so commonly used in the other side of the atlantic (America that meens, since i live in europe)?

For those of you who might not have heard of it I'll ...

What does these blackworms look like? anyone have a picture?

Tubifex do come from sewers and the like, and they are very allergy provoking (hope you understand ..) ... So my advice is NOT TO USE TUBIFEX

Yes, they are not really mosquito larvae, but i didn't know what to call them in english ... Because feathery mosquito isn't a good translation (that's the word for these bugs directly translated from swedish)

Bloodworms

What is a bloodworm?

Coming from Sweden im not sure what it is, although i have probably fed it to my fishes sometime. However, i think it is red worms (mosquito larvae) that sink to the bottom when you feed them, and also many people are allergic to them (including myself ...) Am i right?

Another thing that popped up into my mind ...

What should i feed them?
At the moment i give them a mix of spinache/peas/shrimp which seems to work very well, but maybe there are better things to give to them?
Maybe some other food may help in spawning these fish?

It looks alot like the L015, but it also looks alot like the L103, those are the only two i can possibly think it is. So if the L103 is not from rio xingu i would have to say it is a P. vittata or L015. Great.

Peckoltia sp. vittata "rio xingu"

I bought two of these fish about half a year ago, but i have always wondered what to call them, since it is not a correct name.

However i have not managed to take any photos of them, (they are REALLY shy, only come out when there's food around) but maybe you could tell me which peckoltias live in ...
