WANTED : LDA25 Pitbull Plecs
Looking for 6 (or so) Pitbull plecs LDA25 if anyone has seen any recently in any shop or has some available. These seem to have disappeared from sellers over the past couple of years which is a pity because they are lovely little fish.

Sorry. I may be confusing things above :)
From what I gather the parents (orange stripe above) were the fish my friend bought.
The eggs are being fertilised mainly by an Aeneus albino.

Cory Schultzei (black) ???
A friend of mine recently bought some Corydoras that were labelled as 'Schulzei (black) wild caught in Venezuela
I know the 'venezuelan blacks are actually much different to the Schultzei line bred European ones.

Re: Corydoras Schultzei Black white/grey fuzzy spots
Just an update on the situation here. All things seemed to be good and all 4 Corys were 'back to black' and the tail fins on the 2 worst affected males starting to regrow. The other male and the female had no rot, just fuzzy grey patches. Pimafake and Melafake were dosed for the week following the ...

It makes sense. Do you have any suggestion for home made pimafix too?
Melafix = 1ml 100% tea tree oil + 100ml DI/RO water (Check the label. There are different variants of tea tree oil. you want 'Cajaput Oil / Melaleuca leucadendron Oil)

On the adult front the blacks are slowly losing the greyness but 2 of the males have substantial damage to the lower half of their tails and 1 has shortened barbels. I have been dosing the Formalin mix now for 3 days and will continue through the next week.

Some piccies of the fish I spoke about above but you'll have to take my word for size

There are a few 'jumbo corys' in my local P@H that I saw today whilst letting my son see the rabbits :)
They were priced at £10 and say they are 'Jumbo Albino Corydoras' however the largest one (about 5" by estimate through the glass) had bronze cory colouration. there was a 'jumbo albino' in there ...

You can make your own Melafix using 1ml Tea Tree Oil (Must be pure 100% TT Oil) and 100ml of DI water. then dose 1 teaspoon (5ml) per 10USG.
Shake it well before use to mix it

I don't have a 'nutrient rich' substrate as such. It is the Tropica brand one which is a clay based substrate with high CEC and it takes nutrient in and stores it rather than being a substrate that is nutrient rich when added.

Re: Corydoras Schultzei Black white/grey fuzzy spots
I think I've cracked the problem here. The spots are on all the Corys now and on the worst affected it is indeed looking like fluffy white fungus. Should I chuck some Melafix in while I wait for the Formaldehyde? Can't hurt I assume.

I have had the same sort of things as you have had I think. They often seem to get grey areas which come and go of their own accord. I guess the amount of water changes and health of a heavily planted tank help out here. This is one reason I guess why I didn't think too much of this outbreak ...
