and how many fish is too many for a 55? i have 2 o***rs, and two other ciklids, a gar, lima shovelnose, is there room for one more shovelnose? o***rs are like 2" and other two are 3", gar is 5-6", is there room for another lima?

tank is on its 2nd week and hes been in it from day one, i dont know why he would be lonely we have had him for a lil while and he acted fine.just did a water change and detoxified the amonia and there was neither amonia or nitrites today. dont have a ph tester at this time, kinda poor.

my lima shovelnose is just sitting on the bottom of the tank, there is a small case of ich in there but ive already treated it and he doesnt have visible signs of it, all he does is lay on the bottom, any idea's?

well i just mainly need to know if there is any way to get him to eat something other than feeders, and is it normal if they dont eat in 4 days? it is thursday mourning and there is 1 feeder left and its been in there since sunday and the gar hasnt touched it.

i just had a question about feeding these two fish in the same tank. The Gar i was told will only eat feeders, i just dont want my shovelnose to eat feeders because of disease, is it possible to train the shovelnose not to eat the feeders or get the gar to eat something else?

i was just wondering if you guys could give me a few ideas on a cat that gets decent in size for my 55 gallon tank. was looking into TSN but dont have the money for a bigger tank, and does anybody have some info on Lima Shovelnose?
