nice link ... but because of my limited knowledge of the english language a few questions remain.

so they make the sound by moving there pectoral spines.
it took me a while to find out what "pectoral" means.... :lol:

But for what reason do they make it?? .... fear, agression??

If i get it right, synos will only make a noise when they are "unhappy" or unconfortable...is this right?
So if this is right, i'm glad that i've never heard my syno "speak"...so he's happy.

I might be wrong (but i don't think so) but i don't think you should try to make them "speak" on purpose ...

so the chance of buying me a few(2) in belgium will be small, i presume....

Which catfish would be suitable to keep in a 6ft australian tank (with rainbowfish like boesemani ,trifasciata and duboulayi)

tankmates for syno

hi,

does anyone has suggestions for tankmates for my synodontis ocellifer?

i used to have tetra but now he ate them all.... so tankmates have to be over 6cm (2") and easy breeding.

hi,

i am benjamin from belgium and i was wondering.

Can i put a couple of adult cherax Q.(crayfish) in the same tank as my Synodontis Ocellifer?

There is a juvenile male cherax in the tank now and it seems to go well.
no one got harmed yet. but this male is only 10cm (4") now. this crayfish
will ...
