I would have a large sandy area in the front of the tank and keep a breeding colony of corydoras such as sterbai and do a nice school of tetras or barbs as you suggested. Good luck.

This is a very cool tank and the fish you have are so interesting. Have you tried to add almond leaves? I have heard that the use of these with fry such as yours helps them move on to other foods because the leaves produce inforusia.

The reason for the seperater is that people I ask say that you should condition them seperatly. Also are sterbai fun to breed and are they hard. Also I have a aquaclear 30 on the tank with a sponge on the intake is it okay to use it during the spawning.
