hey! i have some of these guys in my planted discus tank and they are doing great! i am sure i have both males and females, i can see what looks to be eggs in the females on occasion. Did you ever get them to breed? i think they do in my tank but i am sure the eggs get eaten. they like to hang out ...

i have one as well, someone gave it to me. they were told it was a pleco! i have had him over a year now, pretty cool fish. i have never seen him bother any small fish (1" and he is at least 7"), just pushes anything that comes under his log out. hates the light, the only chance you get to see him ...
