if you give them a lot of cover they become more secure and be more active during the day
they like shadows like verbal wrote so try to keep them big covered areas and they will be more active after a short time

they are in great shape

i would say hybrid , have 2 who look like them a bit of s.nigrita a bit of s.eupterus

Once again i have a short ID Question of some Auchenoglanis
this should be A.Biscutatus can someone confirm this ?
I know its not easy to ID small A. and this are the only Pictures i got.
they are about 15cm

the size they reach goes from 30cm -50cm i read a blog of someone who has them for years and they stopped at 40cm so that would be no problem for my tank but A.Occidentalis would be to big.

I would love to buy A.Biscatus as they stay also a lot smaller but you cant buy them here ...

The Seller say they are Auchenoglanis tanganicanus and i hope he is right i dont want to end up with a A.Occidentalis
so would be a great if someone can help me ID them clearly
