By larger I mean, 6+ inches, as opposed to small fry. I have never actually caught and obtained a small bullhead fry in a minnow trap or net myself, but your net does sound plenty large enough. As far as netting the fish, I was just trying to give you information on what I think the best time would ...

Pictus acting strange
I just purchased a pictus catfish about 4 days ago and he seems to be doing fine and healthy. The only problem is that when I turn the light on, he comes to the from of the tank and swims with his stomach against the glass in the same spot. When I turn the light off, he goes on to normal business. I ...

The 55 I have the Oscar in right now is plent big enough just for him, in the future I'd like to have him in a larger tank and of course the tinfoil barbs will have to get a larger tank also. I was just curious on good tankmates for the fish, so I can plan on what tank size I need to upgrade to. I ...

Catfish recommendation
I already posted this once in another category but it might have been the wrong place since I got no response.
I currently have 2 tanks right now. A 55 gal. and a 30 gal.
In the 55, I have an Oscar, about 10" right now. The 30 gal. has some Tinfoil barbs, they are about 3-4" right now. I'd really ...

In the 55, I have an Oscar, about 10" right now. The 30 gal. has some Tinfoil barbs, they are about 3-4" right now. I'd really like to get some catfish in both of them. I just need some suggestions. I'm not really interested in any corys or ...
