Am very very pleased to say that her eyes have pretty much gone back to normal - and it hasn't spread to any of the others! Was very worried for a few days, then the treatment seemed to kick in.
Thanks for your advice - I know what do do in future! I haven't got a spare tank to use as a hospital ...

Bristlenose with swollen eyes - please help!!
One of my female bristlenoses has swollen eyes! She seems to be able to see okay but doesn't look very pretty!
She's in a community tank with 2 other females and one male, and lots of fry. I also have platties, corys, loaches, glass cats etc.
Can't provide PH etc as can't get to LFS until tomorrow ...

Unfortunately I don't know what sort they are either! About 3 inches long at present, blotchy bodies and kind of checkerboard tails. At present the tank is about 12 gallons, I really don't think it's big enough for these beautiful fish, but my mum will need some persuasion before parting with them ...

Aspidoras - living conditions
Please help! Myself and my mum are tank enthusiasts. She has a small biorb tank and has just got 3 aspidoras. She said they'll be all right in there, but I think they'd be better off in a larger tank with a sand/small gravel bottom (hers has the standard biorb greyish rocks). Can anyone settle this ...

Thanks for that. I've got to admit, I spoil him rotten - he's so tame that he has no problems putting my hand near his nest to drop him algae wafers etc!
At present I have a 4ft tank, and see lots of baby bristlenoses around! My LFS has said that once they get to 3cm or over they'll take them to ...

How often can bristlenoses breed?
I really need some advice. I've got one male bristlenose who has his choice of 3 females. I've had lots and lots of fry from them - in fact he only seems to take about a weeks break before spawning again! I'm worried this is wearing him out. Does anyone know if this is normal behaviour or if I ...
