to add to the confusion I have many females here that are from 3cm+ that have bristles along the lip only, only the males have bristles up the centre of the face :D :D :D

ur welcome yeah the camera really does good things if I knew more about photography it would take better pics too I bet, yes it is really amazing watching them develop daily, sometimes they change in the space of an hr, there now foraging.

Well just wanted to give u all an update on the Royal Whiptail fry and let u all know that there have been some losses but the remaining fry seem strong and are growing well.

Well I have been taking more pics of these BN fry and here they are,
progressing well and starting to colour up well.

It is interesting to note there is one in there which is much darker than the rest???
anyone have any thoughts on this fish, would it make a better breeder to seperate and rare ...

Very nice pictures. :razz: And they are so orange. :shock: And to see them develope the black eyes, it is amazing to see the frys develope.
I have done with some corydoras and tetras but never spawn the pl*co yet. I just got few ABN month ago but they are still babies and haven't ...

Well as some of u know I had a pair of BN spawned on the 27/5/07 but managed to kick the eggs out of the log!!! I am wondering what are becoming of all these eggs?
Are you trying to hatch them artificially? Males normally guard their eggs for a long time unless something happens to them.

I don't mean to be presumptive but why would another male help? I think along the lines of lost $$$ signs as a fish ...

as yet I only have a pair but they have been spawning 3weekly (I wander would that change if I was to add another male???)[has anyone done this and noted a change???]
