Lucipinnis Sea World

Post by DJRansome »

I watched my Lucipinnis spawn today, it was very cool. I caught some of the eggs in a fish net, is there any way I can "hatch" them?

Also, the place the male wanted for his spawn had a female BN pleco lurking in a crevice. The male objected and nipped at the pleco.

I've never seen a pleco fight back, but they were both quite ferocious. And neither would give up. We finally chased the pleco away after 30 minutes of watching the battle because we wanted to watch the spawn.

There is a very detailed account somewhere on one of the sicklid forums about hatching and raising petricolas but my laptop is down (I'm on the kids computer now) and I'm trying to find it from memory but not having much luck :(

Huh, odd that planetcatfish would have to refer me to a cichlid forum, LOL.

I did a search here and it seems that they should hatch in the net after 24 hours? And I need some decapsulated artemia?

Thanks for the reply!

That link was for multi's? And the article stopped once the eggs were collected? I was asking what are the next steps after that.

In any case yesterday I examined the net and did not see any eggs or fry. So I will try again with the next spawn.
