what should i be looking for?

Post by madmort0 »

What should i be looking for as far as catfish fighting? how long should i let it go on before i remove one? how do i know which to remove?
I have 3 syno hybrids and i think teh 2 big ones were fighting earlier. i was rather caught off guard by how hard they were going at it. i seperated them with a net till they lost interest then i did a waterchange and tank rearange and added some more rocks.

Are the fish scratched up. Are their fins torn or ripped. These would be signs that you have a problem with compatibility. As was already mentioned is there enough room for all of the Synos to have their own hiding place and territory.

Sounds like they are asserting a pecking order as they are growing...keep in mind everytime the tank gets rearranged they will go through restablishing the pecking order yet again.
