If you have some good pics I can take a look. There are several characteristics that separate Chaetostoma from Ancistrus aside from tentacles. You can count caudal peduncle plate rows (3 in Ancistrus, 5 in Chaetostoma); presence of fleshy ornamentation on premaxillae-dentaries (present in Chaetostoma, absent in Ancistrus); interorbital distance (large in Ancistrus, short in Chaetostoma); and cheek odontode shape (either straight or strongly recurved in Chaetostoma, straight and just distally recurved in Ancistrus).

Hello guys,

Sorry to be SO late, but I definitely visit planet catfish way eventually. Nevertheless, take a look at the ventral pic showing the mouth. This specimen clearly shows tentacles, so it's Ancistrus. In addition, from the lateral pic I see it shows three caudal-peduncle plate series, so, again, it's Ancistrus.
