keeping plecs together

hi
I was wondering if it is ok to keep two, three or several species of pleco in the same tank?
I currently have a L002 and a L200 in different tanks
I'm looking at adding a L128 to my stocks.
can these three be in the same tank?
What plecos should you not put together?

It depends on how big the tank is, and whether there is enough hiding places for them all.
plecs that you wouldn't put together would be fish that require different water conditions.
for example Chaetostoma spp need cool (20-24)water while Hypancistrus zebra for instance prefers warmer water (27-31).
These two would not be compatible.
However if water conditions are OK for all species involved, then you can keep any combination provided there are enough hiding places and territory. This will obviously depend, but i'm sure people on the this forum can steer you in the right direction.

Like racoll says, it depends on space, hiding places and which specie.
L128 and L200 are closely related species, so in one sence they'll be happy together, however, I wouldn't think it's a goo keep them together just in case they actually spawn, because you'll then get cross-bred fry.
L128 and L200 may well be the same specie, but even if they are, L128 looks quite different from L200, so you don't really want to cross the two.
I know, it may seem like a long-shot that they will breed, but the last thing anyone would want is to find that you have a breeding pair that you don't actually want to breed...

I had a regular, regular Albino, and Sailfin all in the same 40g tank. All where adult sized or just under and I had no issue plus I had no hiding spots and they where fine. I have since then moved the Sailfin into a 20g where he is alone but had two African Clawed Frogs with him until one got sick. So I moved the heathy one back to the 40g and the other frog eventually died on me.
Anyways the regular and Albino still live in the same tank together, 40g, and still have no hiding spots and still haven't had any problems.
I've had the Sailfin for 2yrs and the other 2 for 3yrs. When I move I am buying a 125g tank where I will have some caves set up and stuff but its all about money at this point.
Ppl don't get pissed at me cause I have no hiding spots for my plecs. I didn't know that was required until I came to this forum. And still I've had no problems though. These plecs are the largest i've ever had and I bought them when they were a couple inchs and now there both a foot long give or take 1/2inch.

I would never have any fry as I keep danios,
they will eat any and all eggs, even their own
so bottom line
if the plecos are from the same water
conditions they will be fine together.
