Black Aeneus

Two months ago, I bought ten black aeneus from my local pet store. In the store, it is called "Midnight Cory". They looked healthy and swiming around quite a bit. I put them in my corydoras tank with a panda cory and 6 starbei cory. Over the two months period, they start to die off. Three of them developed deformed back over the period, and one was getting large in a couple of day (but the fin are not standing up). The other five did not have any outward sign. There is only one left with a back deformed. I fed them frozen blood worms and sinking pellet. Comparing to other cories, the black seemed to swim a lot in the tank. Does anyone have experience in handling this kind of cory? Is the black difficult to keep?
Thanks,
Philip
