Ok sorry didn't realize that. The pics are posted here now.
At this point I am thinking that it may be either Pseudacanthicus leopardus or
Glyptoperichthys gibbiceps

Thanks he was only 2 bucks at petco. I figured I would give him a try because he looked so nice. Now sailfin is not the same as a common correct or is it? Im getting confliting info on this.

is what is referred to as a "common".

Actually, "common" is being used these days for any Glyptopterichthys or Hypostomus sp that is a non-descript brown, fairly cheap, and often can not be identified to sp. Just as all Farlowella sp are sold as "twig catfish," all Rineloricaria are "whiptails," and all big brown hypostominae are pretty much lumped in as "commons." G. pardalis is just the most common "common."
The above fish is a juvenile G. gibbiceps.
