Good morning, I want inform you that there is a colour morph of Otocinclus vittatus. Three weeks ago, some specimens of an unclassified Otocinclus with an yellow forehead was offered to me. I bought they, but the next morning the fishes lost the yellow forehead and became an absolutly ordinary Otocinclus vittatus specimens. I tried to know where this fish was net, but never can say me thath. Sorry for my grammatical errors!

So what you are saying is that the colour of the fish varies depending on some environmental situation, rather than that there is some colour variation from one species to another. Most loricariidae can change colours based on various aspects such as their wellbeing, mood and lighting.

I've moved this topic in here as it doesn't appear to be a "bugs" type post?
