Syno Multies finally found a freindly host.

My Synodontis Multipunctata finally found a good host. I tried my OB peacocks, and they are working great. The male will sit there and let the cats swim all over him. When breeding, he will chase a little but not much. The females look the spawning rock over carefully to get every egg. 2 months ago, I got 13 from 2 females. This week I got 17 between the 2. I would like to thank all the cat experts on this sight for the help. The articles and info on this sight are priceless. I'm now able to answer others questions from all the info I've gotten from planet catfish. I do give all the credit to this sight and send others here to learn more.
Thanks,
Steve

pics of my oldest fry. These are about 1 1/2 years old. Looking good about 3 1/2" long. I kept the first 5 I spawned.

Can you adjust the ISO on your camera? If it has intelligent ISO, shut that feature off and then set the ISO to the highest setting--commonly, 800 or 1600. You also need a tripod to get a good image this way. And, put as many lights on the tank as possible. Make sure glass is clean. Shoot off 20+ pics. You should be able to capture some decent images that way. If you catch the synos when they are cruising, it should come out okay. If they decide to zig-zag when you expose, it will probably still be blurry.
Anyway, the pics close to the bottom came out pretty close to clear. The cats look great! Good stuff.

Here is a better pic of the breeding group of multies out with some big loaches. Weather front moving in. Everyone is out playing.

I love clown loaches. Great fish. You can keep them with just about anything. Just wish they grew faster. Gotta look into injecting mine with some anabolic juice, a la the Governator. Joking!

Are you sure you have multipunctatus and not grandiops? I've got a breeding group of "multipunctatus" I've had since 1992 that one of the mods here and I confirmed recently are grandiops.

Not sure on the grandiops. I thought they were harder to come by. I also thought they were much lighter in color.
