This is for those interested in all things Tanganyikan.
Many of you that are not be going to the convention in Fairfax this fall will not have gone through the information.
Jeremy Wright is one of the speakers, in his bio here
http://www.catfish2010.com/speakers/JeremyWright.htm there is an interesting little teaser.
He still maintains an active research interest in rift lake catfishes, including current projects involving trophic ecology and phenotypic similarity in Lake Tanganyikan Synodontis species, and several soon to be described new Tanganyikan catfish species, as well as a new genus!

Birger,
Have you been to this show in the past - what is attendance like, quality of organization, etc. I am located in Ottawa and a couple of us usually go to the annual fish convention in Cleveland, Ohio for OCA - which is a terrific experience. Great show, people, lots of room sales activity, etc.

I was at the last one and thoroughly enjoyed it, there were a number of Canadians that made the trip. I can not compare as I was not at OCA, the quality of organization was very good and the people involved are great...many are repeat attendees(as I will be), which means a lot.

I have been to all of the catfish conventions and every OCA convention for the last 7 years. They are really about the same size and similar characteristics. Both the OCA and the PVAS have excellent people working behind the scene's. If you like the OCA you won't be disappointed with the catfish convention. Its a top notch group putting it on and I'm sure they won't disappoint.
