Synodontis nigriventris spawned

My trio have spawned. I only managed to save 2 eggs because i walked in on them near the end and the Garra and Badis had been following them around eating them. I think its 1 male 2 females.
The story behind it
Im starting to break down my 30G so i can set up a 150G which will be a Rio Tapajos biotope. The only other tank i will be keeping is a 21G asian tank with 6 Akysis, 1 Garra ruffa, 5 Badis badis. The USD cats are one of my favourite fish but they wouldnt fit in with the stocking of the 150G so ive heard they can do well at lower temps (22C like the 21G) so i decided to give them a try and if they got on well ill keep them in there and if not i was going to rehome them. But within 24 hours of being in the tank they have spawned. The PH is 6.5, temp 22c, decore is just a few caves and pieces of wood, The eggs where scattered around a piece of wood and in the cave next to it.
Im over the moon they have spawned because all ive ever spawned before are common fish nothing like this. Hopefully the eggs will hatch. Any ideas on what to feed them? I was thinking crushed algae wafers and brine shrimp if i can get some quick enough.

Fantastic Kizno1!!, thanks for sharing this info. I have a trio as well and would love to see them spawn also.
I would think you would want to suspend the eggs in a "breeders container" in the same aquarium the parents bred in. Maybe put a airstone next to them to agitate the eggs just enough so they dont sit still or down on anything and they're getting plenty of oxygen. Try not to change the water if possible. Wow!!! Please keep us posted! and good luck!!

Infusoria or the "waste" that comes out of a mature sponge filter when squeezed would make good first foods, as ever, with a close eye on water temp.
Well done getting this far.

Thanks.
Unfortunately both the eggs i saved have went white so i think they where infertile. I had them in a breeding trap with a small filter in there so there was definitely enough flow. But atleast i know they will spawn so hopefully ill have better luck if they spawn again.

The smaller and thinner one which i think is the male is chasing one the fatter female around the tank so it looks like they could go at it again.

excellent!
really good news
this species has been bred sporadically, but the only writing on it is 40 years old or so.
well and beyond time someone else does a good job, looks like it's gonna be you

Interesting. In every "accidental" spawning of this species that I am aware of there was an associated temperature drop.

not to debunk the good efforts here, but with 5 badis badis, isn't it possible they are the ones who have bred and the synos are just going in to clean up the eggs of the badis, thus causing them to be pushed/flushed out of the caves the badis had spawned in?
How big are these eggs?

The badis are about 2cm including tail so i dont think there big enough to spawn there still to small to even tell males from females. The eggs where about 2-3mm.
