Got a group of 9 of them... Currently exploring their new home and quite active. They are about 2.5cm/1" SL.

nice find, Mats!
be prepared to feed them a lot of greenery

years ago i took a group Marc had kept before and to my surprise they cleaned the tank almost as effective as a bunch of common Ancistrus......

I wasn't used to 'pleco-like" Syno's back then and their feeding habits baffled me

like brichardi and pleurops this species is capable of sucking itself to the glass and hanging by their lips.

best keep them in a tank without any algae eaters.

it's also a very docile species and easily harassed by bigger more boisterous catfishes.
I combined mine with Amphilius, Mochokiella, Rineloricaria and small shoaling fishes and they lasted for quite some time.

we're working on a shipment atm and these are on my list. none of the other people joining in on that shipment wanted any; which they will regret if all goes well and I got mine
:)

good luck with them, IMO it's one of the cutest African catfishes in the hobby.

By pure coincidence I put them in a tank with no loricariid's (the only one without).

I didn't know they are "algae eaters" - that's good information.
