Whats wrong with my catfish...?

Had a cut on side a few days ago, figured cut himself on objects in tank.. Looked like was healing yesterday.. Now today, this white cloudy looking thing on skin.. Has lump... Weird. Help...!!
As of 01/06... He still has lump, lump has grown bigger, and looks something like a cyst... Almost looks like is going to burst.. Any thoughts...?!?!?!????

Synodontis eupterus are fairly durable and will heal up with good water, good food etc.
Question is what was the cause of this, was it hiding near a heater? What are the other fish in with it?

Have african cichlids and two other catfish..

This looks like a heater burn to me.
The other catfish are??
It is hard to help you with minimal imformation, the more you give the more likely we can come up with a proper solution.

Please, give us more info. Birger's right. Water parameters, recent history, a full tank shot, tank mates - these all can be helpful. Here is a nice sample of what info helps experts help those with problems:

Sorry not sure of other carfish names, one is a bumblebee catfish, another is silver and last is tiny.. Is lump has now burst and doesnt seem to be bothering him...

Well, with the info at hand, perhaps it is suffice to stipulate atm that that is a heater burn. I'd make sure it does not happen again (use a heater guard or reposition it, etc.) and see if this problem re-occurs.
