Hi,
I bought these at a PetSupermarket store and were labeled as zebra plecos but with no scientific name. The first two last year and the last one a few days ago.
I believe they are two different types because one has more brown lines. Please help me identify them from the pictures.

By no means an expert (which is evident by my inability to identify species lol), but it looks like and L204 or "flash pleco"

Hard to tell from the pics but the first looks like it could be and the others possibly . Have a look at these pages and see if they match yours.

Looks like to me.

The new one is certainly or maybe , but the others are not clear. Could be a (left) and a (right).

Better photos are required if you want a more definite answer on those.

Based on them I think I have one Panaqulos maccus and the others are Hypancistrus debilittera or Hypancistrus sp. How can I can I differentiate Hypancistrus debilittera (L129) from Hypancistrus sp (L340) ?

I am going to try to get better pictures. The problem is the first two are in a 55 g planted aquarium but I just bought another one so now I have two in a quarantine tank for better pics.

More like L129 than L340.

L129 are also known as the Coloumbian Zebra, which might explain the naming confusion......

I can attest to the confusion of common names; It happens to fish shops as well as to clients.
I operate a small freshwater Tropical Fish Shop in Kennewick, WA.
Recently, I ordered what I thought were 2 Zebra Pleco's,The price seemed outstanding and
I thought it would be a great way to pass along some awesome fish to my customers.
The fish were sold to us wholesale as Zebra Pleco's. They turned out to be L270, once we received them.
The supplier apologized and refunded money; were were still able to sell them to a customer who loved them!
We labeled them as L270-Zebra Plecostomus. We have L129 and yes,we do have the L046 in our shop and as I said the minute we received these (L270) fish it was obvious that they were not the "real" Zebra. In my opinion many times the trouble starts at the wholesale level and if not educated goes on down the line...

I recently purchased 7 pleco from a wholesaler. 4 of them are labelled as zebra pleco as well and three of them are labelled as butterfly pleco. I mentioned to him that the zebra pleco are mislabeled but he insisted that they are columbian zebra pleco. I bought from him anyway since the the prices are not comparable to the imperal zebra pleco. I have three pictures attached showing the so-called "columbian zebra pleco". In one of the pictures, there was a butterfly pleco with the columbian zebra pleco. I would like to confirm what my pleco scientific name is. Thanks for your help. I thought they looks the same as the pictures in this post.
