For those that are undecided, this is what you get in the weekend package. Two nights (Friday & Saturday) B&B in a 4 Star accommodation plus a 3 course dinner on each evening. The convention 2 day ticket will enable you to attend all 11 lectures from 9 top class speakers, and if you have never been before, the world renown Pier Aquatics is just a couple of miles down the road. There will be sales tanks, display tanks, trade tables and other specialist group displays. This is a fantastic event, steeped in history and catfish lore. There is deep knowledge shared here for the first time; often by people that have forgotten more than I will even know. It is no surprise this has been THE catfish event over the last couple of decades. Over the years it has become a truly international event both in terms of world class speakers and attendees from all over the world.

The venue will be the same as last years event, The Kilhey Court Hotel, Chorley Road, Standish, Wigan, Lancashire. WN1 2XN. This is a superb four star hotel with enough room to cater for our every need. The conference room holds up to 300 people. There will be a breeders award programme display, trade stands, specialist societies and sales tanks set-up over the weekend. The speakers for the 2016 Convention are as follows:

Smitty, You already have a biannual Catfish convention. The next event is in October.

For those attending if you have catfish you wish to sell, there will also be a number of sales tanks available for hire, but these will need to be booked well in advance to ensure availability. contact chairman@catfish study group.org for details.

Just a little reminder for all would be CSG convention goers. Irrespective if you intend booking a room or just coming on a day ticket, the £10 advance payment discount for the full convention ticket will end on the 31st of this month, That's three beers!

I really enjoyed it last year, the first time I'd been. Sadly I can't come this year as it clashes with my 40th birthday
