i just put 2 small bushey nose in my tank, saturday and i haven't seen them since? i hope "lord apophis",my 3" Chocky hasn't struck again?!?!? :? i found the remains of a gold nugget in the same tank,; i bought the busheynose to replace them, but apophis loves live bait!!! :twisted: :twisted:

i wonder if aquarium salt kills them??? i use it in my tanks!

My "Bob" is my boyfriend, so I think naming any of my fish that would be cause for civil unrest in our house, lol!

How is this for a Gold Nuggett experiance. After reading this topic, my nuggett which was doing fine for 3 months suddenlly died !!!

yes, pturley, i got really lucky! the fish were "scrambled" for about 3-5 days, but now are eating and chasing the smaller petricolas that i bought to replace the bigger ones that were wigging out!! i did not change the water on saturday as the fish are doing well, and the water has cleared a bit ...

i get mine for $15-20 each for around 2"; i currently have 2, now that one of my newer ones has died of ick!! I HATE ICK!!!!!!!

the tank has been set up for around a month; my other tank in the room is crystal clear? i think that i might have fed them too much?? i feed them at night, before i turn the lights out and the food is gone in the morning though?? when i change the water this time, i will pour the water in more ...

no, but i am this saturday as the water is getting a bit cloudy ; i'm using a sponge filter in that tank and i have no carbon in there yet, so i will need to change the water this weekend.

good news; the little catfish are acting kinda normal now; they are chasing the smaller catfish around instead of their tails;

kinda hard to believe, but i lived on the gulf of mexico 20years ago or so, i used to fish all of the time; back then we considered catfish to be a scavenger fish or a "trash fish": my my my , how things have changed!!!!
