it looks like a cat, if it is then you shhould find it in the cat e log under the Ictaluridae family.
if it aint in that family then you caught whatever catfish someone threw out.

i'll start looking to try and identify it for you.

maybe i can sweettalk my parents into driving me there, its not as long of a trip like the last time i asked them to take me some where across the Cheasapeake Bay Bridge

hey, thats 20minutes drive from where i live.

I'm the owner of the largest channel catfish on the delmarva penninsula!!

and i told him that thats why my tanks are crystal clear and his is is a cloudy goldfish poopy mess!!

it turned my crystal clear tank into a red one

i found out it was a pirana the hard wayi tried to put the plastic plants back in the tank and chomp chomp,ouch!

i went to walmart today and bought some catfishes and what was labeled as a red bellied pacu, but it seems that it is a red belly pirana, what should i do i dont know if it is illegal to keep piranas in maryland??

your pleco should be fine alot of new fish stay pale after catching them and tranporting them.

ok the pond thing ain't goin to work i had a chuk of koi sitting at the top of the pond this morning!!! so much for my prize japanese koi

are roaches any good as food for channel cats??

Theres a medication made by Aquarium Products called Quick Cure. it dyes the water blue, you add 1 drop per gallon daily until your pleco is cured.
it's what i use every time my pleco is sick like that, and havent lost a fish yet!
i use it on all of my sick fish but for tetras, pacus, and silver ...

but it's 2 1/2 feet deep andi heard that for koi to overwinter it has to be at least 3 to 3 1/2 feet deep

i dont even know if the koi will over winter in the pond
i used to have a bigger pond with a heater to keep it from freezing on top
but i moved and the heater doesnt work any more

but will he overwinter in the pond?

could i put him in with 3 fancy goldfish in my 55 gallon?
or in a 100 gallon pond with a few of my 2 foot koi?

he's in a 29 gallon tank with a 7 inch pink kisser and catfish + big pink kisser = BIG MESS,
the water is brown with heavy filtration and he can knock the hood off the tank if he gets startled
