Re: L260 breeding help
Mine hides all day to, but at night he isn't skittish, if I shine a flash light on him he just sits there and ignores me. I have had him for a month or two now. He may become more active though once he gets his own tank as he is in a planted community with relatively bright lights. Also I purchased ...

L260 breeding help
I have a single male l260 and I am considering buying more to try and breed them. I have a spare 29 gallon (30inch by 12inch foot print) and I was wondering if this was big enough to have a small group? Also what is the ratio of males to females that would work best in a 29 gallon? Any other ...

Re: Mystery L200 death
I have pretty good flow(eheim 2075) and I put a bubbler in, are there any other things I could do to help? There isn't any surface aggitation, but I do have a surface skimmer attachment on my filter intake and that will also help with oxygenation right?

Mystery L200 death
This morning when I arrived at my dads house I checked on my tank and noticed my L200 wasn't in its normal spot. I looked around and found it sitting nose down in my jungle val. The L200 looked fine, nice color and the belly wasn't sunken in like it was starving but it was dead. The only other ...

Re: mystery corys
The reason i thougt pic one was not c. schwartzi was the majority of the corys i recieved do not have a black dorsal spine, i also noticed none of the pics in the catelog for c. schwartzi have a black blackdorsal spine.

mystery corys
I recently received 16 Corydoras Schwartzi, the only problem is that not all of them are C. Schwartzi, or at least they don't look like C. Schwartzi. I seem to have three different species two of which I don't know what they are. Here are some pics:

What is your favorite freshwater planted aquarium bulb?
I accidentally stepped on my new t5ho fixture and broke the bulb(rest of the fixture is fine reflector bent a little though)
so now I am looking to buy a new bulb. So what is you favorite t5ho bulb for a freshwater planted tank? The bulb will be for a 48 inch fixture and be 54 watts.

Leporacanthicus heterodon in a planted tank?
Could a Golden vampire pleco (Leporacanthicus heterodon) be kept in a lightly planted tank, will it eat the plants or push them around at all?
Also is $50 a good price for a 4 inch L. heterodon?

Brochis Multiradiatus info wanted
I originally wanted B. Splendens but now I am considering B. Multiradiatus. Is their care pretty much the same? If not do you have any specific tips? Also how many could I keep in a 55 gallon aquarium with a 48 by 12 inch foot print?

Re: Will this be to many catfish
I meant the m thoracata and the brochis would eat all of of the food before the L200 could not that they would help with the shyness.

Re: Will this be to many catfish
Yeah I am not sure about the M. Thoracata.
I feel like the brochis alone will make it hard to get food to the l200 who is a little shy.

I want to have 8 Brochis Splendens, 2 Megalechis thoracata and 1 Baryancistrus Demantoides, could this work in a 55 gallon tank with 48 by 12 inch foot print? I am looking to buy an adult B. Demantoides(5inches+) though the smallest I would consider is 4 inches if the price is good. Local is preferred but I would do shipping if it is not to expensive. I am in Wisconsin.
