Yes, what is it that makes your fish breed like rabbits? I would not presume you feed the cheese, or provide them with clocksElTofi wrote:Schöne Arbeit wieder aus der Schweiz![]()

i never wanted to bring them into the nursery, but when i saw the eggs, these whole bunch of them are already all out in the cave. So i had no choice but to keep them there. Now, i was suspecting if they have been fertilised as i read that when the eggs are not healthy or fertilised, they tend to get kick out of the cave by the DAD. Is it true??ElTofi wrote:hi, I read the thread and I give you my experience for both L25 and L320. The eggs, if fertilized, hatch after 7 days at 28°C in all the spawnings I had.
But ! It's quite difficult to bring the eggs till hatching in a nursery, without Mr. Dad fanning and cleaning them all the time... (mushrooms, moistures).
Udo, did you have other timing with L114 and L97 ?

Today 10 eggs turn bad, i had to slowly "picked" them out one by one. i hope the rest can be successful.
I finally realised the reasons. Remember,i shifted the parents together with another fertile female down, making it a trio. After the eggs were laid and the dad is looking after them in the cave, the other female tries to force her way into cave to breed with the Male too. This, not only caused severe bite marks on the dad's body, she also have it too. I guess that's the closest possible reason for the eggs to be kicked outside the caves.Cristoffer Forssander wrote:hotchiliz wrote:i never wanted to bring them into the nursery, but when i saw the eggs, these whole bunch of them are already all out in the cave. If there is something wrong with the water, the dad can also kick out the eggs. As you're eggs vere fertilised, this can be a possibility. But exactly what is wrong is harder to tell. I have experienced this with other species. I also think you need to roll the egges between the fingers in order to help them to hatch. This is not that hard if you are careful... i succesfully done this, just some weeks ago with L107.
