I'm offline for a bit

Post by Richard B »

In case anyone needs me, i'm gonna be unavailable until realistically, thursday, as i'm off to compete in the Civil Service Sports day, in Chiswick, London.

I'm cutting down my involvement this year & limiting myself to volleyball, 6-a-side soccer, kwik cricket & 3,000 metres.

I will hopefully be in a fit state to post upon my return...

Thank you! it'll be tough as the standard is extremely high - eg in the tennis there is a chap who used to beat Tim Henman as a junior :(

Well i survived with a few scrapes, bruises, aches & sunburn. We didn't do well in the football despite me scoring an absolute screamer in one game & as one of the games clashed with the 3,000m i withdrew from that one.

For the 5th year running we went out of the Kwik Cricket in the semi-finals :( , however i do have a winners medal for the volleyball :D

The only downside was that as it was such an intensive day i didn't get to nip away to visit any stores in the area..... :(

Congrats and don't worry about missing a few stores, with that kind of activity, you'll live longer and be able to visit more stores that way

Next time you're in the area, why not drop by for a bed & breakfast at good price (like £0), and you'll have plenty of time for a visit to shops the next day.

Of course, this time I was away myself, so you'd have had to make your own breakfast... ;-)

Gawd I wish I could find a good pickup game of soccer on this side of the pond. (The pond I'm referring to would be the Arctic Ocean)

Was a FIFA certed ref for a number of years, and I'd love to get back into it.
