Have Questions For My Corydoras Imitator Please Help !

Post by Callichthyidae »

Hello! Again Everyone :)

I have another questions for my Lovely Corydoras Imitator. I really love this guys so much, and I really don't want to lose them again. Please! help if someone who can really help.

I keep some of my corydoras in my custom tank that I letted one of my aquarium store in my city did this tank for me because of limitted space. I think it should be 60 gallons, and most of my corydoras in this tank are Wild Caught that I really love them so much including my lovely 20 Corydoras Imitator as well. :!:

I got all my Wild 20 Corydoras Imitator from one of my favorite aquarium store in my city. Most of my Wild Corydoras are very happy in this tank accept some of my Wild Corydoras Imitator that I dont' really understand WHY !!! Some of my Wild Corydoras've bred for me in this tank many times it means my Corydoras tank is in good water condition, so they've bred for me so many times. But, I still don't understand some of my Wild Corydoras Imitator keep dying every 3 or 4 days, but some of them are still very happy swim around the tank. The unhappy Corydoras Imitator always stay on the bottom of the tank never swim, and eat very little foods or none at all, so make me so worry keeping dying again and again until no more in my tank. Oh! and some of my Corydoras Imitator that was dead the body were RED. I am DEFINITELY sure they were SICK because of the RED body, but I don't really know WHAT disease and HOW it start. :?:

My water condition is a slightly soft water with temp at 27 c. KH is 50, but my GH is little high is 150. I am TRYING to reduce my GH, but I still don't really know HOW because ONLY my GH is little High, but my KH is Ok. Can someone help me if you know? Oh! I use my R/O water from my city tap water by using my R/O Mechine whenever I change my water every 2-3 weeks 35% and then put some STRESS COAT, some STRESS ZYME, and some EXPERT BLACK WATER as well. But, it still happens to some of my Wild Corydoras Imitator that I don't really want this happen because I really love so much. I am trying to keep them very happy and healthy for long time. Can someone really help me? It will be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much again. :?:

sounds like a bacterial infection. to my experience you should not lower the gh for bacterial infections make it around 180 because the bacteria will die off. its worked for me several times. after that lower the gh again to suitable parameters.
hope this helps

p.s. this thread is in the wron forum. cant reall remeber but i think its an african fish any correct me if they must :)
