Re: growth rate of synodontis eupterus?
It's hard to quantify growth rate because it depends on so many different things, but as synos go, S. eupterus do grow "fairly quickly". I'd expect a 2" specimen to reach at least 4-5" within a year or so.
Andywollo will probably be able to give better info.

Mine got big fast. Mine were babies at 2" and at a year they were as Mats says they were 5 inches I'd say, 4-5 "s .
It's been two years this winter and they are 5 - 6 inches now so it slows down. But they get there fast.
They grew up in a 75 gal tank tho, with 50% water change once a week. Solo occupants, till Rex (common pl*co) joined them last year. They eat defrosted frozen mostly and sinking pellets.

Re: growth rate of synodontis eupterus?
My experience with a solitary presumed female is much the same- from 2.25" to just over 6" total length in the first year, but she's only grown another 1.5" in the next year and a half. They also go from being quite svelte juveniles to big and fat pretty quickly, and from being very shy (I christened mine "invisicat" because I only got fleeting glimpses of her in the first few months) to being extremely confident- she's not hid at all in the last 12 months.
Megalechis thoracata, Callichthys callichthys, Brochis splendens (and progeny), Corydoras sterbai, C. weitzmani, CW044 cf. pestai, CW021 cf. axelrodi, Pterygoplichthys gibbiceps, Ancistrus cf. cirrhosus (and progeny), Panaque maccus, Panaque nigrolineatus, Synodontis eupterus

Re: growth rate of synodontis eupterus?
I'd agree with previous posts. I believe mine was a female and she was faster in growth than my other synodontis cats - schall and shoutedeni - which on the other hand was a bit bigger when I got them so I can't really compare them through out every age. Anyway the impression is that they grow rather quick.
