Lehmann et al have recently revised Otocinclus:

and as a result revalidated the species Otocinclus arnoldi, previously considered a synonym of O. flexilis.
Based on the description and localities I'd say my photos of O. flexilis as well as my article about O. flexilis really refer to what is now called O. arnoldi.
Otocinclus flexilis -> O. arnoldi.
