Could someone please try and give the right sex to this trio.
I were first sure that I had two males and one female, but now I´m not sure.
Could be three males?
I'm sure the one to the left (the bigger one) is a male. The one on in the middle looks prety much like a male too.
Both of these show thick pectoral fin rays with big odontodes, and clearly showing bigger spines under the gill covers.
That leaves the one on the right to be a female - but I'm not at all sure about that.
Interests: African catfishes and oddballs, Madagascar cichlids; stoner doom and heavy rock; old school choppers and riding them, fantasy novels, travelling and diving in the tropics and all things nature.
Yes I read this too, forgot to take picture in that view when I put them in the tank.
Are going to pickup 2 more at my LFS on wednesday if they are in stock at the grossist ( english word?), gender is unknown. Guess I´ll doing that until a get a female. They will surley be smaller then the ones that I allready got.
Fetched 2 more today.
Not sure at all at the sex
Leaning to males? the left ones seems to have fewer rows.
The camera is singing on the last verse , could´t zoom at all.
Nice picture of nice fish. I can't say for sure whether they are male or female tho'. Grow them out, and I'm sure it will become apparent - females will be fatter.
