Used Eheim?
Hello everyone, I was wondering whther a 1.5 year old Eheim 2217 is worth getting for only $100. Just would like some feedbck. Thanks.

Sounds like a decent price - is it complete, running and what media is in it?
New, these are around $150-200 (UK prices translated to US $ at about 1.50 $/£ ratio) for a "plus" package, which has taps for the hose (which is well worth it - nothing worse than having to pull hoses off/out of the tank to clean the filter. Filter media is just sponges, so nothing fancy. A media pack with EhfiMech and EhfiSubstratPro is about $50.
The Eheim Classic range is my favourite type of filter - they are really basic in design, but they work really well.
