Clown pleco?
I got this catfish from someone who was giving it away (along with a Synodontis nigrita), and now I figured I should actually get it ID'd so I know what to feed it. I have a couple of pictures I took that will hopefully help - sorry about the blurriness of the last two. If I need different photos, let me know and I'll see what I can do.
Also, clicking the link from the "common names" list for clown pleco redirects to the Hypancistrus L340 page - did what used to be called Panaque maccus (etc.) get renamed?
Thanks in advance.

It's still here at PC. Some use which is listed as a synonym here.
Not sure why it doesn't show in the quick search, as one of its common names is Clown Pleco.
Someone else will be of more help with the ID.

Your fish is . This is still called the "clown pleco", but as you have seen there are several other plecos sold with "clown" in the name, so it's best to stick to the scientific name (which actually also means "clown" in Latin).

Re: Clown pleco?
Seems to be a bug.
I'll make a note for me or Jools to have a look at it later - I have a vague idea that it happens when two species having the same common name, the one with the higher ID overwrites the one with the lower ID, instead of adding a second entry. Could be wrong... But it's definitely wrong the way it works now.
