I'll do a COTM on this fish soonest, but noticed there were no Cat-eLog pics. Below fish was collected June 2010, so is probably at about its max size.

Yeah, there's a problem with the admin tools, I believe. I think Jools was shuffling things around a bit, and it meant that some stuff that should go into the admin tools is no longer in the admin tools, and it doesn't know where to put the uploaded files...

I would like to put a caption for the habitat image...what would you call this body of water...besides a swamp. :d

Would it be a marshy area near Lake Victoria or something along those lines?

That picture is of the exact place I caught the pictured fish in June 2010. It is a papyrus swamp located approx 8 km north of the trading center of Nkozi, which is located at the equator along the Kampala-Masaka road.

General habitat is papyrus swamps surrounding Lake Victoria and the Victorian Nile.

I got a new GPS for X-mas so if I drive back by the area I'll get geocoords. I also start taking it out with me in the future as my goal is to have proper coordinates in all future collecting trips.

I'd caption it, "Habitat: Papyrus swamp". By prefixing with Habitat, it will show up in the "show me all habitat pics" link from the main page.

Nice pics. :-)

Any reason "Suggested Tankmates" should not be sp. specific? I was thinking

Suggested Tankmates: medium to larger sized barbs, Ctenopoma, mid-sized Victorian cichlids.

I can not say these things would "never" eat a tank mate, but they have never bothered anything I have kept with them, to include small cichlids that would easily fit in their mouth.

The value for tankmates is species specific. I'll fix it up as you suggest.

Nope that's perfect. Image specific information should live in the caption.

I was going for that old PC Clarias head on shot you used to use on the site.

Yeah, the "last thing the minnow saw" shot! That might have been a fossil cat actually, not sure - the graphic is still around somewhere.
