Other smaller blackwater plecs besides L183?

Post by lipadj46 »

I have some L183 plecs in my planted 55 gallon that has very low GH and KH (under 2 degrees each), temp of 82F and a pH just under 6 from CO2 injection. I keep a pretty strong current in the tank to keep the O2 levels up (it wastes some CO2 but the fish and plants seems to like the conditions). I am going to keep the softness so I was wondering what other smallish cool looking plecs will like these conditions and will get along with the starlights. Thanks!

If you go to the page, you can click on the name of the river, e.g. Lower Negro to find fish from the same regions.

You can also use the advanced search: http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/search.php and search for species that match temeperature and pH. The closer the range of temperature and pH you choose, the more species will match, because the search is looking for fish that are happy with the entire range of tmperature/pH you entered.
