Maybe new Myersglanis

In Tadjikistan cought H. Heleher possibly new species of genus Myersglanis.

Looks like the fish in the picture has a truncate caudal??? I thought Myersglanis have a forked caudal.

Heiko's identification of Asian cats sucks big time (I still remember his identification of Helicophagus leptorhynchus as a new species of Pangasius in one of his magazines).

That's not Myersglanis, but most likely Glyptosternon reticulatum. Compare with the photo of a fish caught in the upper Indus River drainage (photo courtesy of the Swedish Museum of Natural History):

Perfect!!!! I see it has been reported from Tajikistan too.Is this genus the only Glyptosterninae with a truncate caudal HH???

Some Oreoglanis have truncate caudal fins, as do Euchiloglanis and most Pareuchiloglanis and Creteuchiloglanis.

But this can't be! He stated in an interview in PFK that he has never misidentified a fish ;)
