L450 spawn

Post by vanillarum »

Well, it is finally official. About a month ago, I put an egg sac with a tail back into the cave with dad and his eggs. I checked a day or so later, and the cave was empty except for dad. Looked every day for fry or eggs - nothing. Until this AM. I was doing regular maintenance and WCs on the tanks, and there, in the L450 tank, was a free swimmer ! I only saw 1, but hopefully there are more in the tank. Now all I need to do is to have my camera ready for the next opportunity. I'll keep you updated. Cheers !

Here is the tank, a couple pics of the adults, and the only pic I could get of the fry so far.

Nice. Congrats. How old do you think the fry are? Hope you find more.

bunny, I'm guessing they're (it) is about a month old, perhaps a bit more, based on when I found the egg sac with a tail. Thanx.
