I have 8 L.brevispinis catfish in my 30 gallon at the moment, but am wanting to get some fish for it that will fill out the tank a bit more as the cats hide for the most part.
I'm open to all suggestions really, schooling, centerpiece, cichlids etc.. BUT the only thing is that it will need to be at least bigger then Flordia flagfish. I mention this because I adopted three flagfish from a friend and placed them in the 30g, but over a period of a month I found each stuck to the filter all tore up as such. I am assuming one of the bigger males ended up taking it during the night, because they all seemed fine and healthy with no signs of illness during that time.
Thank you for the suggestions.

I'll give you 2 I don't recommend. I've got brevispinnis in my 125 gallon tank & they don't do well with the Marlieri Julies I have or the Neolamprologus Pulcher I have. They get picked on even in a tank this big. I only have 1 Pulcher & 2 Julies but they've damanged the dorsal on one of my poor brevispinnis.

A trio of tanganyikan killifish would be perfect and provide lots of movement, but are a bit big (4-6 in, 10-15 cm), but there super pretty, just look them up!
