The work with the brevis continue.
I have 8 of them in a 20 tall tank with 9 caves/hideouts, thick sand substrate (turned over by assassin snails) and water change 30-50% twice a week.
I rarely see the fish so I have no idea how long this has gone on or if it is just affecting sub males.
But several of the fish have white blemishes on their heads and sides. No cottony look to them, no red blood spots, and with them being scaleless fish am not positive what to treat with. I see no flashes, no signs of breathing hard, etc. They all are on NLS pellets and whatever cherry shrimp they can catch.
Oh, one last thing: they do have a few other tankmates in the form of cories, bronze to be precise. I don't think the cories are causing the marks, but have seen them flash in the past few days. No marks on the cories either.
