feeding small synodontis lucipinnis
feeding small synodontis lucipinnis
Hi
I just purchased 3 small synodontis lucipinnis about 10-15mm and was wondering what to feed them.
I got some catfish pellets but them seem big for the size of fish
I have tried a variety of my cichlid food but they dont seem to eat anything, although they do look fit and healthy.
advice greatfully received

Have you got a pestle & mortar?
I put a mix of spiralina tabs, earthworm pellets & flake in & grind it all up to a powder. (you can use any staple foods). I put some of the powder in a teaspoon & add a few drops of water to make a really thick paste. Then roll a little paste into a ball & feed to the small fish. Fresh veggies or fresh shrimp etc can also be added if desired

Feed them whatever your feeding the tank normally. They are very capable of finding the food.
Thanks, Josh

I bought small Synodontis lucipinnis half year ago, now they are bigger. Then I gave to them small granulates, Tetra granules. Small granuless are good for small fishes and fish that are hiden. Tender/shy fishes get granules. Granules of tetra are quite good. http://thereefshop.com.au/index.php?mai ... cts_id=226chrisring wrote:Hi

I'll second they'll eat whatever is offered. However, when I was raising them I normally fed mostly decap brine, with the occasional pellet thrown in, till they were one inch SL just for the growth.
