It's a xanthic version of this, I think.

Rare? I think im going to get it, never seen this type around to be honest.

Not that uncommon...I think you should have a look at ....it is the most common xanthic syno as well(commercially produced).

There is one on the page that I have photographed that is all yellow now.

Interesting. In accord with the OP, IME they are also rare in the eastern US.
