I.d help with black bristlenose please

Post by Albino Sick Led »

This pleco was bought from City Pets, in Houston, Texas. It was pretty beat up and so it was given to me at a discount($10). It has started to heal very nicely and is enjoying my established tank where i have mixed African Cichlids. Please assist in helping me identify it. Not too noticeable in the photo, but this pleco has small distinct spots on it as well(almost like a green phantom) on the front part of its body. Any help greatly appreciated. It is a beautiful pleco and very active in my aquarium.

Thank You

There are a number of threads here on 'pinspot' ancistrus. And even more species. Please check out the forums. Also some more clear photos of dorsal and ventral would help.

Looks like a dark coloured to me. Their normal pattern is showing through behind the dark.

There are many colour morphs of these being bred.
