I'm Orange and a great community fish

Post by JamesFish »

Well purchased as a clown pleco and I think that's a correct Id from a trawl in the images here. Believed male, rarely leaves his wood or cave of choice.

Thought I would share some pictures as in 3 years only found 1 for sale in local shops to me and really glad I bought.

That looks very similar to the little pleco I have, I really don't think she's the kind you regularly see (dark brown with thin yellow stripes). She is much more mottled like your fish!

Hopefully some can i.d. them? I'd really like to know what this species is (definitely NOT a Mega Clown Plec, I had one very briefly and it looked nothing like that :( ).

Thanks again for another ID. He is proving a great character hoping to one day afford and find a female to pair him with to start a small breeding project. :)

I've hopefully picked up a friend for the big guy. Sadly very small and I suspect between size and my poor camera skills impossible to sex. I think its a match but asking if anyone could kindly confirm and if possible attempt to confirm female. I have a nasty feeling will be another male.

Sorry for reusing the thread but thought it saved a new one.

Thanks in advanced for the help and sorry about the pictures was really not happy about being photographed.
