unknown Heptapteridae?

Hi All,
Just received this absolutely great fish. The guess is that it is a heptapterid cat. It was collected in Rio Ventuari and is about 4 inches long. I would appreciate if anyone can help to identify it at least to the genus level.

Once I got a group of Pimelodella gracilis, but some of them grew out to 30 cm or morte. Obviously not all of them were Pimelodella. Still, in the bag, at 7 cm or so, they all looked the same

I think a lot is still unknown within Heptapteridae

The shape of the caudal fin suggests Leptorhamdia, although the eye seems too large to be this genus. It could possibly be a member of Heptapteridae genus D of van der Sleen and Albert (2018), although this genus has a much more meridional distribution that does not include the Rio Ventuari.

Yes, good points, I should have explained the reason I thought about Phenacorhamdia was the thicker membrane into the base of the dorsal. I don't know if it's characteristic for the genus, but it struck me as matching as per the attached example (from Venezuela).

I like the idea of Silurus that it is Leptorhamdia. Moreover I would guess that it is Leptorhamdia marmorata. The size and distribution fit. Plus my fish looks identical to the image of L. marmorata in http://silurus.acnatsci.org/ACSI/field/ ... index.html
